I am very pleased to report the results from our routine testing performed over the last two weeks for all employees and residents in our Health Care Community, (The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care). All test results were negative for COVID-19. As previously stated, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) testing mandate is based on County positivity rates.

Important Status Update from Charmaine Preiss— 9/8/2020

As stated in my last update, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued a testing mandate for all Health Care Communities. Chesterfield County has reported a rise to 11.3% positivity rate, which means we have to test all employees in our Health Care Community, which includes The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care, two times a week until the positivity rate drops below 10%.

This afternoon, we were informed that one of our Independent Living employees who works in the Kitchen has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee has not been on campus since August 16th, and the risk of contact spread to residents is extremely low. Due to HIPAA regulations, we cannot provide any personal or health information at this time.
