Graham attended culinary school in his native Liverpool, England (no, he does not personally know any of the Beatles) before working as a chef and then an executive chef in hotels and restaurants all over England and Wales. After a four-year stint as a chef on private yachts, he found himself in Richmond in 1992, and an employee of Brandermill Woods shortly after that. In just six years, Graham was in charge of the dining department’s daily operations, including the Independent Living dining room, the upcoming bistro, and the dining programs included with the Health Care Facilities and Assisted Living. Health and safety are Graham’s topmost priority, followed closely by carefully thought-out, nutritious meals that taste great. Together with his Certified Dietary Manager, Executive Chef, and Dining Room Managers, Graham plans menus, theme dinners, dining forums, room setup and décor.
He’s never regretted his move from Europe to Richmond—feeling like working at Brandermill Woods allowed him to meet some of his best friends and biggest support group. He had the opportunity to help change the dining program from an a la carte service to the fully imagined and thoughtfully prepared experience it is today. By his count, Graham has served close to five million meals to Brandermill Woods residents, family, and friends!
