This afternoon, we were informed that one of our Independent Living employees who works in the Kitchen has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee has not been on campus since August 16th, and the risk of contact spread to residents is extremely low. Due to HIPAA regulations, we cannot provide any personal or health information at this time.
If you had close contact (within 3 feet for 15 minutes or more) with the employee, you will be notified by the end of today.
We will not be changing any current ILU protocol at this time.
As we continue to reiterate, we all need to be extra cautious, as this virus is still prevalent. It iscritical that we are all following CDC guidelines by wearing a mask, washing your hands frequently and practicing social distancing.
We cannot stress enough how important it is to notify us as soon as possible if you have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID or having any symptoms.
