Independent Living Community

We are sad to report that our resident from ILU passed away from the coronavirus.  The resident’s family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

We completed our contact tracing on Friday, July 17th and identified 11 residents and 1 employee as having a potential exposure.  We reached out to each person and was pleased to hear that no one was experiencing any fever or symptoms. As of this morning, all 12 have been tested.  We are happy to report we have received 3 negative results so far and are awaiting the results of the other 9.

Health Care Community

All door visits have been suspended until further notice, thank you for your understanding.

We performed our weekly COVID-19 testing this morning.  148 employees and 53 residents were retested at our Health Care Community.  We will notify you all of the results as soon as they are received. As stated, we are required to do weekly testing until we get two consecutive weeks of ALL negative results.  Next week’s test is scheduled for July 28, 2020.  We are hoping for two weeks of ALL negative!

Please join me in expressing much gratitude to our amazing Brandermill Woods Team!  They have stepped up and are being flexible when needed, and remain fully dedicated to our community’s well-being despite set backs as we try to reopen.

The devastating news at our Independent Living Community should be a wake-up call to us all!  Everyone should follow all protocols and guidelines in place. Please continue to wash your hands frequently, please wear a mask when in public and please practice social distancing.

Please stay safe, and if you have any questions, please give me a call.
