Important Status Update from Charmaine Preiss— 9/8/2020

Tuesday, September 8, 2020

As stated in my last update, Centers for Medicare andMedicaid Services (CMS) has issued a testing mandate for all Health Care Communities.  Chesterfield County has reported a rise to 11.3% positivity rate, which means we have to test all employees in our Health Care Community, which includes The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care, two times a week until the positivity rate drops below 10%. Once the positivity rate goes below 10% we can then go to weekly tests. This testing will continue until Chesterfield County drops below 5%.

We plan to conduct the next round of tests for residents* and employees at The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care on the following dates:

Thursday, September 10th

Monday, September 14th

Thursday, September 17th

Monday, September 21st

We continue to be diligent in our efforts to avoid any widespread coronavirus outbreaks in our facilities by following the safety protocols from the CDC and local health department. We continue to be very grateful for your support and cooperation.

As always, we ask everyone to please follow CDC guidelines by wearing a mask, washing your hands frequently and practicing social distancing at home and workplace.

*All residents in the Health Care Community were tested this morning.  According to CMS, if all resident tests results are negative, and there is no outbreak or symptoms, then we will no longer be required to test residents.
