Health Care Community – The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care

The COVID transmission rate for Chesterfield county for Health Care is 19.66% as of today. We encourage everyone to get “up-to-date” with their COVID-19 vaccines per CDC recommendations.

We have three (3) new residents in The Haven who tested positive for COVID-19. They were moved to our COVID unit with the other six (6) residents. All residents are having minor symptoms and we hope to clear some of them within the week. We continue to conduct contact tracing.

We will continue to test all residents in The Haven and Team members twice a week for the next two weeks until two consecutive “all” negative weeks are reached. The Chesterfield County Department of Health is kept updated on our COVID-19 status and is confident we are following all core principles of COVID -19 infection prevention.

All other residents in The Haven are quarantined in their rooms. We will continue conducting one on one activities with them and serving meals in our resident’s rooms.

We are very happy to announce that the Memory Care Community is open for visits, as well as The Haven and Assisted Living Community. All visitors need to take additional measures to make visitation safer. This includes wearing well-fitting masks, surgical or KN95 at all times, performing hand hygiene, and practicing physical distancing. Do not mingle in the common areas of the community. Please do not visit your loved one and contact your doctor if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: sore throat, severe lingering headache, sinus/head pressure, head congestion, runny nose, nausea, cough, and fatigue.

Visitors who are unable to adhere to our core principles of COVID-19 infection prevention that are consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance for nursing homes will not be permitted to visit or should be asked to leave.
