Health Care Community – The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care

A resident in The Haven has tested positive for COVID-19. We were notified this resident had an external COVID exposure and was quarantined immediately before testing positive. We were also informed that we have one team member who works in The Haven who tested positive this morning from external exposure and is quarantined at home. They both have minimal symptoms.

We tested the residents in the long-term care units and all results were negative. We will test team members twice a week who work in the long-term care units for the next two weeks. We notified the Chesterfield County Department of Health and are following the core principles of COVID-19 infection prevention.

Over the weekend, we had one team member in the Assisted Living Community who tested positive. We have had no new residents test positive in our Assisted Living or Memory Care Community during this week's COVID-19 testing. One resident in the Memory Care remains positive. We will clear the Memory Care and open it for visitors as soon as this resident tests negative.

It has been confirmed that Buford Road Pharmacy will be onsite May 31st to hold a 4th Booster Clinic for residents and team members. We will be calling all responsible parties to get consent forms completed for this booster.

Visitors will be allowed in The Haven and Assisted Living Community on, the 2nd and 3rd floors. All visitors need to take additional measures to make visitation safer. This includes wearing well-fitting masks, surgical or KN95 at all times, performing hand hygiene, and practicing physical distancing. Do not mingle in the common areas of the community. We encourage everyone to become fully vaccinated and receive booster shots per CDC recommendations. Please do not visit your loved one and contact your doctor if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: sore throat, severe lingering headache, sinus/head pressure, head congestion, runny nose, nausea, cough, and fatigue.
