Health Care Community

The Brandermill Woods management team is happy to announce that beginning Friday, March 12, 2021, we will allow indoor and outdoor visits at The Haven, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities by reservation only.

Our team continues to use appropriate infection control measures to outline this program. The new CDC guidelines that were released March 8, 2021, do not apply to Long Term Care facilities. CMS has not changed its guidance on visitors but we are hopeful that will happen soon. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience as we schedule, monitor, and manage the indoor visits so that our residents’ have the best experience possible.

Please email Trisha Pedersen at tpedersen@brandermillwoods.com to schedule an indoor or outdoor visit. There will be no more than two (2) visitors per resident. Visits will be 30 minutes in duration and recurring visits will not be allowed due to the limited visits. We want all our residents to have the opportunity to have visits with family.

We will have three dedicated indoor locations for visits, and visitors will not be allowed in the resident’s rooms. Visitors of residents of The Haven will use the Florida Room and enter the building at The Haven. Visitors for residents of the Assisted Living will use the Parlor near the Information Desk and use that entrance. Visitors for residents of Memory Care will use the Sunroom.

Visitors from out of state must provide a negative COVID-19 test result within 48 hours before your scheduled visit. For your convenience, Brandermill Woods staff can administer a rapid test Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., please schedule the test with Trisha at the time you make your appointment for visit.

Restrooms will not be available for visitors. No children under the age of 12 years old and no pets are permitted to visit. Please respect our 6 feet indicators when arriving to check-in for your visit and wear a mask. Please see the Guidelines for Indoor Visitation.

All COVID-19 test results since February 19th, 2021 have been negative. Brandermill Woods will continue to test all employees/vendors at our Health Care Community based on the positivity rate in the county, per CMS guidelines. The positivity rate reported this week has decreased for Chesterfield County to 8.8%; therefore, we will decrease our testing to once a week for all employees/vendors of the Health Care Community on Monday, March 22, 2021. Once the positivity rate drops below 5%, we will go to testing employees once a month.

As always, if there is a development of new cases of COVID-19 in the Health Care Community, our visitation program and other processes will change immediately. You will be notified as soon as possible.
