Health Care Community – The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care

Chesterfield County’s COVID-19 positivity rate on the CDC website continues to decrease, it is 24.03% as of today.

All residents in The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care tested negative for COVID-19 this week. All of the Health Care Community is open for visitors. Please do not visit your loved one and contact your doctor if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: sore throat, severe lingering headache, sinus/head pressure, head congestion, runny nose, nausea, cough, and fatigue.

The Haven had three employees and Assisted Living has one employee who tested positive for COVID-19 this week, and they are quarantined at home.

We will continue to test all Health Care Community employees and residents twice a week until we have two consecutive weeks of all negative cases. All employees follow the core principles of COVID-19 infection prevention.

The website for free COVID test kits is https://www.covidtests.gov/.

For further questions regarding protocols, contact:  Jennifer Pitzer at 804-379-7100 ext. 187 or jpitzer@brandermillwoods.com and Stefania Johnson at 804-379-7100 ext. 114 or sjohnson@brandermillwoods.com.

As we celebrate Black History Month, look forward to Valentine’s Day, and a decrease in COVID positivity rates, I am reminded of a quote from Maya Angelou, “LOVE recognizes NO barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of Hope.”
