Health Care Community – The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care

On Saturday, January 30, 2021, two residents in Assisted Living developed symptoms and were tested for COVID-19. They both tested positive so we proceeded to test residents in The Haven, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. One additional resident in Assisted Living tested positive at that time. All other residents in The Haven, Assisted Living, and Memory Care was negative. We will continue to test all residents for COVID-19 twice a week until we have two weeks free of positive results.

All residents and employees were tested for COVID-19 today, February 1, 2021. One Assisted Living employee tested positive and is isolating at home. We will update you on the remaining results as soon as they are all received. Residents will continue to be monitored for any signs and symptoms. Any changes in a resident’s condition will be reported to our physician, and the family will be made aware.

Chesterfield Department of Health and Department of Social Services has been updated and continues to approve all processes we have implemented and extended through February 14, 2021. Our Dining Department continues to use paper products to reduce the contact exposure. The direct care staff continues to wear N95 masks, and all employees continue to practice frequent and thorough hand washing. Employees continue to be screened daily for signs/symptoms before their shift.

We encourage virtual visits during this time of quarantine. All window visits in the Assisted Living and Memory Care have been canceled. Please email Trisha Pedersen at tpedersen@brandermillwoods.com to schedule a virtual visit.

On February 4 and 5, 2021 we will administer the 2nd vaccine to all residents that qualify. The remaining will receive their 2nd vaccine during our third clinic schedule on February 25, 2021. Please continue to check the blog on our website www.brandermillwoods.com for additional information.

We will continue to notify you if there is a change in our COVID-19 status. Continue to keep our residents and employees in your thoughts and prayers.
