Health Care Community – The Haven, Assisted Living and Memory Care

We are happy to report that we continue to test all residents and staff and are able to reopen for visitation at this time. This new variant is highly contagious, and we are seeing new cases present. As of today, the positivity rate in Chesterfield County is 37.62% based on the CDC website.

There were eight (8) employees who tested positive since the update on January 3, 2022, contact tracing has been completed and they are quarantined at home. The positive resident reported on January 4, 2022, continues to be asymptomatic and isolating in our COVID unit. We will continue to test all Health Care Community employees and residents twice a week until we have two weeks in a row of all negative cases.

To ensure that visitation can occur, we need visitors to take additional measures to make visitation safer. This includes wearing well-fitting masks, surgical or KN95 at all times, performing hand hygiene and practicing physical distancing. We encourage everyone to become fully vaccinated and receive booster shots per CDC recommendations. We will continue to consult with state and local health departments to determine when modifications to our visitation policy would be appropriate.

The entire Brandermill Woods team are doing an amazing job keeping our residents safe in these challenging conditions. We could not provide the care and daily services without their commitment and compassion.

Thank you for your support and assistance as you visit to keep us all safe!
