Testing Requirements Update — 12/3/20

Please see the important announcement below regarding our mandatory weekly testing for all caregivers and medically necessary approved visitors.

Due to our requirement for once a week COVID-19 testing, our deadline for this week is tomorrow, Friday, December 4th. Any caregiver or medically necessary approved visitor not tested by 3:30 p.m. will not be allowed to enter any buildings or units until a negative COVID test result can be provided. As a courtesy, Brandermill Woods is offering testing tomorrow from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. in the Wellness Clinic. The address is 14311 Brandermill Woods Trail, Midlothian, VA 23112.

The charge for the rapid test is $75. Agencies will be billed for this directly. Residents who have private caregivers will be responsible and billed for the charge.

If you choose to receive a rapid test off-site, please bring your proof of a negative weekly result every time you check in prior to your shift.

Due to supplies, Brandermill Woods can only conduct rapid testing this week. Moving forward, Brandermill Woods will conduct PCR tests.

Our next weekly testing required for all caregivers and medically necessary approved visitors will take place on Wednesday, December 9th. Times are TBA. This will be a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test which is processed at a laboratory. We can bill these tests to the individual’s medical insurance. You must bring a copy of the front and back of your insurance card if you’d like to be billed through insurance. A $25 Administrative fee will be charged to the agency or resident.

If an insurance card is not presented, then the $125 cost will be charged directly to the agency or resident.

If you choose to get your weekly test off-site, your negative test result document must be dated within 7 days of your shift.
