Health Care Center: Program of Care
The Health Care Center at Brandermill Woods is a 60 bed licensed
nursing facility. The Health care Center is designed to treat the
whole resident based on their individual needs. Our staff believes
that each resident’s life is a gift meant to be lived in dignity,
comfort, and security. The quality of the services outlined below
is what makes our Health care Center unique.
The Health Care
Center Program of Care includes
- Nursing Care – medication administration
and monitoring; personal care services including bathing, dressing,
toileting, grooming and eating; physical, occupational and speech
therapy, as needed; coordination of medical appointments; licensed
nursing staff on duty twenty-four hours per day; nursing staff
communicates regularly with primary care physicians to develop
each resident’s plan of care.
- Dining Services – three meals per
day served in The Health Care Center dining room; therapeutic
diets available as needed.
- Therapeutic Recreation – structured
daily programs; community outings; activities that encourage
socialization, sensory stimulation and physical exercise; activities
that focus on enhancing the cognitive and functional abilities
of the residents.
- Residential – private and semi-private
furnished rooms; transportation to local medical appointments;
daily housekeeping and laundry services.
